Muted Marvels
About Nick Stewart
I started as an artist before I ever wrote a line of code.
Growing up, I was drawn to anything creative. Pencil sketches, paint, mixed media, collage, digital design. If it was a medium, I wanted to experiment with it. I loved the feeling of turning an idea in my head into something tangible. Art taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to sit with a problem until it revealed something better than my first attempt.
From visual art, I moved into sound.
I fell in love with music production and started building beats on an MPC. Chopping samples, layering drums, dialing in swing, shaping melodies. The MPC taught me structure and rhythm. It taught me iteration. You build a loop, refine it, mute pieces, rebuild it stronger. That process rewired how I think. Creative systems, small improvements, version after version until it hits right.
Eventually, that mindset led me to coding.
Coding felt like another creative medium. Instead of paint or sound, I was shaping logic and systems. Instead of beats, I was building apps. The same principles carried over. Experiment. Iterate. Refine. Solve. Build something functional and meaningful.
Today, I combine all of it.
I approach development like an artist and a producer. I care about flow, design, structure, and usability. I build with intention. I enjoy solving problems, designing systems, and turning ideas into real, working tools.
Art gave me creativity.
Music gave me rhythm and structure.
Coding gave me scale.
I am always building.
